Police said they monitored as hundreds of scooter riders traveled in a large group through downtown and southeast Minneapolis on Saturday night.
While Minneapolis police said the group was at times “reckless and disruptive to traffic,” no arrests were made, and no citations were issued.
Minnesota State Patrol added that at 10:40 p.m., state troopers responded to a report of non-motorists on southbound I-35W at Fourth Street in Minneapolis.
Similar to police, State Patrol said that state troopers took no contact or enforcement action.
State Patrol said it also encourages discussions with the city and scooter companies to implement a geofencing plan that disables the machine if it leaves a designated area.
