Twenty expired restaurant licenses are being auctioned by the state, and Washington and Greene counties each have one license available. Licenses available in this auction cannot be transferred across county lines. The highest bidder will have up to 30 days to pay the PLCB and up to six months to submit an application for the license. If the payment is not received in a timely fashion, the second-highest bidder will have the opportunity to apply for the license. Aside from Washington and Greene, other counties where licenses are available are Adams, Berks, Bucks, Cambria, Carbon, Crawford, Delaware, Jefferson, Lancaster, Lehigh, Luzerne, Lycoming, Monroe, Montgomery, Northampton, Schuylkill, Snyder and Wayne.
