Eight sailors, seven from Mornington Yacht Club, are preparing to represent Australia at the 2026 Team Racing World Championships in Stockholm, Sweden, in August, following their national title win at the Open 2K Team Racing National Championships in Geelong. Their nomination by Australian Sailing was accepted by the World Sailing Selection Committee, securing their invitation to compete on the world stage. The campaign reflects the strength of Mornington Yacht Club’s junior sailing pathway, with many members of the team having learned to sail through the club’s own development programs.
