According to records filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, WWE submitted an application on August 7, 2026 to trademark the name “The Mike.” Misiorowski has also picked up “The Miz” as a nickname, creating an unusual crossover between WWE and Major League Baseball. Both men appeared on The Pat McAfee Show on August 7, where the question of who truly owns the nickname became part of the conversation. The former WWE Champion was not particularly interested in accepting the rebrand and insisted that he remains “The Miz.”
