Following a public survey on time observance in the southeast corner of B.C., the Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) Board of Directors is expected to make a decision on the matter this Friday (August 14).
“I am pleased to see such strong participation in the survey as we know this is an issue that people are passionate about,” said RDEK Board Chair Rob Gay.
Once a decision is made by the RDEK Board, it will be shared with the participating local governments within the RDEK.
It will also be shared with Golden and CSRD (Area A) as they will need to establish their time observance independently.
The province will be notified of the decision and requested to undertake any implementation that may be required.
