Veteran Nigerian singer Daddy Showkey has criticised the prolonged conflict between twin brothers Peter and Paul Okoye, saying it damaged one of Africa’s most-successful music brands. According to Daddy Showkey, entertainers must remember the role of their fans when making important decisions about their careers. He explained that his achievements and longevity as Daddy Showkey were possible because people supported his music over the years. Daddy Showkey also expressed concern that the continued public exchanges could deepen the division within the Okoye family. Daddy Showkey’s intervention followed another period of public accusations involving Peter, Paul and their elder brother, Jude Okoye, who managed P-Square during much of the group’s successful run.
