Hatch House’s annual Open Garden, held in support of Salisbury Hospice Charity, will take place on Sunday, August 30, offering visitors a stroll through the gardens with tea, cake and stalls selling second-hand treasures. Established as a fundraising event by Lady Holly Rumbold and her friend Elspeth Vernon, the Open Garden in Tisbury has raised more than £250,000 to date. Hatch House’s annual Open Garden will take place in August. “One summer, we decided to open the gates of Hatch’s beautiful 17th-century Dutch-style walled garden to raise a little money for charity. Now supported by Virginia Fairhurst, Joanna Jacobs and the Tisbury Fundraising Committee, the event includes stalls selling furniture, books, bric-a-brac, jewellery and fashion.
