Three years ago, workers with Mayor Karen Bass’ Inside Safe program moved dozens of homeless people from Aguirre’s neighborhood into nearby hotels and motels.
Mayor Karen Bass’ Inside Safe program has moved people indoors from that location several times since 2022.
During one operation, Inside Safe brought 42 people inside.
Inside Safe, her signature homeless program, has moved more than 6,200 people into hotels, motels and other interim housing.
