An analyst said Pakatan Harapan must identify the factors behind the growing effectiveness of identity politics in mobilising voters in order to face the next general election.
PETALING JAYA : Pakatan Harapan must face the prospect of becoming an opposition coalition once more after the next general election, says political analyst Wong Chin Huat.
Otherwise, if PH loses power at the next general election, it may have little opportunity to make a comeback.
However, PH lost power itself when Bersatu left to form a new government with some MPs from PKR and Umno.
PH returned to power after the 2022 general election by forming a coalition with BN, and East Malaysian parties.
