'My memories of three of comedy's greatest legends'

Great comics never leave the stage, their acts are so good they continue to do curtain calls from the ether.
And in my opinion, any Mount Rushmore of British comic greats without one of Eric Morecambe, Tommy Cooper or Bob Monkhouse on the list, is frankly, incomplete.
Like millions of television viewers, I remember the night Tommy Cooper died like it was yesterday.
For anyone unfamiliar with that name, Braben was the Scouse writing genius behind much of Morecambe and Wise’s greatest material.
Jimmy sadly died earlier this week and I will pay tribute to him in an article very soon.
