President Donald Trump said Sunday that White House Staff Secretary Will Scharf will replace David Warrington as Assistant to the President and White House Counsel.

White House chief of staff Susie Wiles congratulated Scharf on X and thanked Warrington for “his tenure as White House counsel, Trump-Vance campaign counsel, and Trump’s loyal attorney.”
Warrington served as Trump’s personal attorney and general counsel for his 2024 campaign before being appointed counsel at the beginning of Trump’s second term.
Trump said Warrington left the White House for a job in the private sector, though it is unclear what that role is.
