Two men have been charged following a fatal multi-vehicle crash near Cessnock earlier this year that killed a 50-year-old motorcyclist. Emergency services were called to the intersection of Cessnock Road and Kemp Street, Neath, about 6.25pm on Friday 24 April 2026, following reports of a crash involving a red utility, a silver utility, and a motorcycle. The male drivers of the utes, aged 21 and 57, were uninjured but taken to hospital for mandatory testing. Officers from the Hunter Crash Investigation Unit launched an investigation into the circumstances of the crash. His licence has been suspended, and he is due to appear at Cessnock Local Court on Wednesday 23 September 2026.
