Probation Check Leads To Major Drug Bust And Multiple Charges In Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. – A routine probation check in Tampa on Friday led to a major narcotics investigation and the arrest of a 63-year-old man on multiple drug trafficking charges, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies with the sheriff’s office joined probation officers on Aug. 7 to conduct a check at a home on the 12000 block of Peony Court.
During the visit, probation officers located illegal narcotics inside the residence involving Robert Adkins.
Adkins was taken into custody and faces a series of felony charges, including keeping a public nuisance structure for drug activity, armed trafficking in illegal drugs (28 grams to 30 kilograms), armed trafficking in cocaine (28 to 200 grams), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
