Ghanaian comedian Lekzy DeComic says the previous NPP government paid more attention to comedians than the current administration. He made the statement during the ninth edition of Joy FM’s Showbiz Roundtable, held on Saturday, 8 August 2026. The moment I mentioned it, he drew the attention of the GTA boss Akwasi Agyemang to it. Lekzy noted that it was through the previous government that some comedians had the opportunity to travel to the USA to be part of the Ghana Week celebration in Washington, DC. Also in attendance were comedians Lekzy DeComic, Kojo Pjay, Percy Obrempong, James Brown and Jacinta.
