Community garden party in Burnham-On-Sea raises funds for Weston Hospicecare

St Andrew’s Church in Burnham-On-Sea was filled with the sounds of laughter, live music and fundraising on Sunday afternoon (August 9th) when a well‑attended community garden party helped raise funds for Weston Hospicecare as part of its ongoing Open Gardens initiative.
Children were able to take part in crafts linked to St Andrew’s Year of the Angels, while the garden games provided plenty of fun for all ages.”
The simple gesture provided a thoughtful moment for reflection and highlighted the vital role Weston Hospicecare plays in supporting families through illness, loss and bereavement.
“The garden party was a wonderful celebration of community, friendship and remembrance, while raising valuable funds for one of our local hospices who make such a difference to people at some of the most difficult times.
Burnham and Highbridge Mayor Cllr Mike Facey was among the visitors, saying: “It was a super afternoon with lots of activities, raising funds for this important local charity.
