Jennifer Simpson volunteered to be recording secretary, and Maureen Mauzy volunteered to be corresponding secretary. The Celebrating Women report was given by Maureen Mauzy about 2nd Lt. Lina J. Stratton during World War II. Susan Creamer read the minutes from the April chapter meeting. The bylaws committee of Townsend, Smith, Mauzy and Simpson will be meeting to update the chapter bylaws. Indiana state DAR awarded the chapter two Lighting the Way Awards in May: presenting a financial award for DAR Good Citizens and submitting a chapter winner in the DAR Good Citizens state contest.
