At least one person was killed and four others injured after a covered van lost control and hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw and two motorcycles at Wireless Gate in Dhaka’s Moghbazar last night. The incident took place around 11:30pm in front of Grand Plaza Shopping Mall, said Mohammad Yeasin Mia, officer-in-charge of Ramna Police Station. Sheikh Zahidul Islam, deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Ramna Division, said the covered van lost control while coming down from the Malibagh flyover and hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw and two motorcycles. Five people were injured in the incident, one of whom later died. Of the injured, three were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
