The event was an opportunity to talk about Cetaphil latest products, particularly the Ceramide Repair Lotion. Ceramides are waxy lipid molecules that help repair the skin barrier. Dr. Adasa pointed out that our skin already has ceramides: “So if you’re putting something that has ceramides, you’re actually just putting it back to your skin.” A disrupted skin barrier does invite other issues, such as sensitivity and the entry of microbes that cause problems like acne. Alongside displays of Cetaphil products, the booth at SM Makati will be the venue of activities, dermatologist consultations, freebies, and exclusive offers until Aug. 31.
