RCCG Ordains 2,820 Pastors, 29 Honorary Elders at 74th ConventionThe Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has ordained 2,820 pastors and 29 honorary elders as the church concluded its 74th Annual Convention on Sunday, August 9, 2026. He described the pastoral office as the highest office in the RCCG, noting that every pastor is, in principle, an equal colleague of the General Overseer because the General Overseer himself is also a pastor. On the 29 honorary elders, the RCCG General Overseer described the conferment as a mark of distinction and recognition for members who had distinguished themselves through exemplary lives and service to the church.
