Police said some individuals identified as Amotekun personnel reportedly came out of a vehicle with registration number OSHAO4 and opened fire. Following the shooting, tactical officers intercepted Adejorin’s vehicle and took the commissioner, the Amotekun operative and another occupant to the police headquarters in Osogbo for questioning. The police spokesperson, Abiodun Ojelabi, confirmed Adejorin’s release on Sunday, explaining that the commissioner was freed after being questioned by investigators. Explaining how the commissioner was identified after the vehicle was intercepted, the police spokesperson added:“On intercepting the vehicle, they saw an Amotekun personnel in the vehicle.
