Flood Alert Issued for Southern ToledoResidents in southern Belize are being urged to remain alert as forecasters warn that flooding remains possible over the next twenty-four to forty-eight hours due to continued nighttime and early morning rainfall. However, several waterways in southern Belize continue to run above normal. The Moho River remains above normal levels and has reached flood stage at Blue Creek South, where water is above bridge level. The Temash River, Sittee River, and Gales Point Lagoon are also running above normal levels. The Rio Hondo, New River, Belize River, Sibun River, Mopan River and Macal River are all at or below normal levels, with no immediate flood concerns reported.
