Residents are being advised that Berw Road Bridge, commonly known as White Bridge, in Pontypridd will be closed to both vehicles and pedestrians for one week from Monday, August 10, to allow further repair works to take place. The council says the work has been coordinated alongside the demolition of the former Pontypridd Police Station and Berw Road Car Park site. No traffic management is planned for Berw Road during next week’s work, and White Bridge will remain open during any future works affecting traffic on Berw Road. During the closure, motorists travelling from the south of the bridge should follow the diversion via The Parade, West Street, Bridge Street Roundabout, Bridge Street and Berw Road. Traffic travelling in the opposite direction will be diverted via Berw Road, Bridge Street, West Street, Middle Street, Bonvilston Road and The Parade.
