=Bhubaneswar: In a significant achievement, three premier state-run medical colleges and hospitals of Odisha have featured among the top 100 such institutions in the Indian Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF) 2026, official sources said Sunday. While Kataka’s SCB Medical College and Hospital (SCB MCH) secured the 15th position, VIMSAR in Burla and MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Brahmapur ranked 64th and 74th, respectively. In another notable achievement, SCBMCH ranked ahead of AIIMS Bhubaneswar, which secured the 16th position in the IIRF 2026. Health and Family Welfare Minister Mukesh Mahaling congratulated doctors, faculty members, students, nursing officers, healthcare workers, administrative officials and other employees of the ranked medical colleges on the achievement. It is an inspiration to take Odisha’s government medical colleges to even greater heights at the national level,” Mahaling said.
