Supreme Court rules on ownership of Edgewood farm adjacent to former ostrich operationFeud over Edgewood FarmPhoto: Rob Gibson A family dispute over a 50-acre farm adjacent to the Universal Ostrich Farm has reached a decision in Supreme Court. A multi-year legal battle between family members over a 50-acre farm in Edgewood has reached a verdict in B.C. The farm, at 301 and 307 Langille Rd., sits adjacent to a 58-acre property formerly operated by Karen Espersen and David Bilinski as Universal Ostrich Farm, which was subject to a high-profile ostrich cull in the fall of 2025. The court also rejected arguments that the Quigleys held the farm in a trust for the Espersens. The Quigleys were awarded court costs for the main lawsuit, while the Bilinskis were awarded costs for the dismissed counterclaim.
