Senator Mike Lee just hammered his colleagues in the Senate for choosing recess over trying to pass the Save America Act. Here’s what he wrote:All year long we heard “we’ll get to the SAVE America Act when we have time,” realizing it would likely take a few weeks. It’s now August, and we’ve already taken more recess weeks this year than I can count. There are 21 weeks remaining in 2026, and approximately 14 of them will be spent with the Senate in recess. These few weeks in August offer what could be the perfect chance to return to the SAVE America Act and debate the bill until it passes.
