In terms of video games, Spider-Man has been around for nearly every console generation in some fashion. Be it a solo adventure or appearing in someone else's game, Spidey is a mainstay in video games. What's truly fascinating, however, is how his video game history is just as compelling and unique as his outings in other forms of media. This era of Spider-Man video game history was mostly focused on the aspects of the character that could be done in 2D.
