Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have rescued 33 passengers who were abducted by suspected bandits in Magazu area of Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State. The rescue operation followed credible intelligence received on the evening of Saturday, August 8, 2026, regarding the abduction of passengers travelling along the route. Upon arrival, the troops engaged the bandits as they attempted to move the abducted passengers to an undisclosed location. Following the rescue, the troops commenced a search operation in the area and continued to track the fleeing bandits. The Commander of Operation FANSAN YAMMA commended the troops for their swift response and professionalism during the operation.
