Recently, a total of 41 bags of clothes were donated by members and have been passed on to the YAA. A spokesperson for the club said: "Being chosen as the Charity of the Year by Thirsk Ladies Club means that all the fundraising schemes held over the year benefit this local cause, which gives such vital health support to our rural area. Altogether, 31 guests enjoyed the pleasant chance to chat and walk around the garden and speak with the garden owner. "If you have clothes and can donate them for the YAA funds, there are various collection bins around the area." Thirsk Ladies Club committee members include chairman Janet Ellis, secretary Margo Brown, treasurer Barbara Sharp, and committee members Freda Roberts, Alice Watson, Jeanne Whiting, and Michele I’Anson.
