On Sunday, August 2, Poole Coastguard Rescue Team was alerted to an incident along Shore Road in Poole. Shortly after 6pm, the team was requested to assist RNLI lifeguards as an individual required medical assistance after being rescued from the water. The coastguard team then stayed on scene until the ambulance departed, returning to the station. A spokesperson for Poole Coastguard Rescue Team said: "Requested by the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre to assist RNLI Lifeguards with an individual requiring medical assistance after being rescued from the water. "We evacuated the casualty and then stayed on scene until the ambulance departed for the next level of appropriate care.
