Earlier this year, the Rochester City Council directed city staff to explore options to expand community use and preserve the facility.
The proposal also calls for a $300,000 city investment to enhance Experience Rochester’s organizational capacity to create more city-based experiences.
The added city investment could fund a festivals and events department, visitor information center and certified tourism ambassador headquarters, among other efforts.
Monday’s discussion of the proposed Chateau vision also is slated to include a look at potential renovations to maintain and upgrade the building.
Following Monday’s meeting, the proposed Chateau vision is slated to be shared in September with the state’s DMC Corp. board, which would need to approve any DMC contribution to the effort.
