Crews from Hampshire, Dorset, and Wiltshire were called out shortly after 2.30pm this afternoon to East Tytherley after receiving reports of a blaze involving straw bales.
Local farmers also pitched in, using machinery to create firebreaks around the area and support firefighters efforts to control the blaze.
While operations are being scaled down, firefighters will remain on the scene to monitor the situation and ensure it does not escalate.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Fire and Rescue said that some smoke may still be visible in the area as the straw bales are being allowed to burn out.
They said: "Local residents are advised to keep windows and doors closed while smoke remains in the area."
