Following these discoveries, officers searched the cells of Dil and Haq Nawaz. Her Arabic-inscribed necklace was translated as Ayat al-Kursi, a verse from the Quran, further linking her to Dil Nawaz. On February 14, Walton told Gascoyne that Haq Nawaz had asked her to be his girlfriend.
