Announced in development in 2022, God of War was confirmed to adopt the latter installments in the video game franchise — 2018's God of War and its 2022 sequel, God of War Ragnarök. Last January, Ryan Hurst, who provided the voice and motion capture for Thor in God of War Ragnarök, was cast to play Kratos. That prompted speculation over the replacement, with actors Tom Hardy, Jason Momoa, Chris Hemsworth, and Christopher Judge, who was the voice of Kratos in God of War and God of War Ragnarök, rising to the top of the list. God of War is definitely in his wheelhouse (check out See), so it's easy to see him owning this character.
