A swimmer died on Saturday in an apparent drowning at Ossipee Lake in Freedom, New Hampshire. New Hampshire State Police said first responders were called to the lake around 2:55 a.m. for a report of a swimmer that entered the lake and could not be found. WATCH HERE WATCH HEREThe Center Ossipee Dive Rescue Team pulled the man from the water, but despite lifesaving efforts he was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as Shawn Meader, 45, of Waterville, Maine. The death does not appear suspicious, police said.
