Haverhill - Matthew "Matt Batt" Battistini passed away suddenly on August 4, 2026. A proud 1978 graduate of Haverhill High School, Matt was a legendary star athlete in both football and track. Matt is survived by his siblings, Rick Battistini and wife, Michele of South Freeport, ME, Risa Harrington and husband, Danny of Newburyport and Andria Kapp and husband, Steve of Newburyport. Main Street, Haverhill, from 1 to 4 p.m. Celebration of Matt's Life will be held on Monday in the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. Private family interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Newburyport.
