New York Rangers fans are in the midst of the dog days of August, and right now is all about winding down the clock of what's been another very long offseason after missing the playoffs yet again. The Athletic received nearly 20,000 responses in a recent survey, and the Rangers were on a shortlist of teams most likely to continue disappointing their fans. The Athletic asked fans: Which team are you most confident will NOT win a Stanley Cup before 2036? There are many different ways the Rangers could figure it out this season and make the playoffs, but making the playoffs (≠) winning the Stanley Cup. If that continues for a third season... then the Rangers truly have a problem.
