The University further stated that students admitted during the 2022/2023 academic year who satisfy all academic requirements “shall be eligible for the award of certificates issued under the seal of the University of Ghana.” According to the students, these pronouncements vindicate their position that they remain entitled to certification under the University of Ghana affiliation framework. According to the students, Prof. Blankson suggested that pursuing University of Ghana certificates could take years and advised them to rather accept AUCB degrees. The students reject that position, arguing that administrative convenience cannot override contractual and academic obligations owed to students who enrolled under the University of Ghana affiliation arrangement.
