As Independence Day approaches, my heart is filled with pride to see this beautiful and patriotic song coming from Balochistan. Earlier in the day, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) released a Balochi-language patriotic song, “Pak Ae Watan”, ahead of Independence Day. Accompanied by a video, the song draws on Baloch folk traditions, music and voices while conveying a message of national unity and presenting them as an integral part of Pakistan’s wider national identity. The patriotic song promotes unity, solidarity and brotherhood, while celebrating national pride across Pakistan’s diverse regions, languages and communities.
