A 25-year-old woman has died after she was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Chicago’s Lake View neighborhood Saturday night. The driver accused of striking and killing her tried to flee the scene multiple times, crashing two more times before fleeing inside a residence, where he was taken into custody. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim in the collision as 25-year-old Sarah Milcarek, a resident of Columbia, Missouri. Police say the driver attempted to flee the scene driving westbound on West Irving Park Road, and ultimately he struck an SUV, which caused a chain reaction impacting another sedan. Neither of the other drivers in the incident required medical attention, police said.
