Leh Police seize ₹2 lakh assets of drug offender

Leh: Aug 9: In a significant action against drug trafficking and illicit proceeds, the District Police Leh has initiated proceedings under Section 68F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985, leading to the seizure of movable properties worth approximately ₹2 lakh belonging to a habitual drug offender.
The action was carried out by Police Station Leh against Kundan Sah, son of Ban Bari Sah, a resident of Village Mahadha in Banka district of Bihar, presently residing at Chuchot Yokma, Leh.
Police said the accused has been found involved in multiple cases registered under the NDPS Act.
162/2025, registered under Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Leh, in which 960 grams of ganja was recovered from his possession.
The seizure marks another step by District Police Leh towards dismantling the network and financial infrastructure supporting the illegal drug trade in the region.
