The fatal crash occurred around noon on Southwest 49th Avenue at the intersection with Southwest 82nd Place Road, according to an FHP press release. An SUV driven by a 48-year-old Ocala man entered Southwest 49th Avenue from Southwest 82nd Place Road and collided with the sedan that remained at the scene, according to FHP. Both were wearing seat belts, according to FHP. The 28-year-old sedan driver also was wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries. FHP is seeking information about the second sedan and its driver, who fled the crash scene.
