INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Public schools across the county open Aug. 10 as Indian River County students return to classrooms for the 2026-27 school year. High schools will start at 7:20 a.m. this year, a change the School Board approved in February. Middle and K-8 schools begin at 8:10 a.m., and elementary schools start at 9 a.m. Wabasso School and IR Prep will keep their own schedules. Osceola Magnet and Rosewood Magnet shifted to former middle school sites. Bus routes are posted on each Indian River School’s website.
