Shaun Maloney has provided an update on Alistair Johnston after the Celtic defender was taken off at half-time during the 5-1 win over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park. Johnston started the game at right-back and was part of a Celtic side that took control early, with the Hoops 3-0 up by the break. However, he did not return for the second half, with Colby Donovan replacing him. Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Maloney explained that the change was made as a precaution after Johnston felt something during the first half. Donovan came on for the second half and completed the game as Celtic added another two goals after the break.
