Shaun Maloney has provided another positive update on Martin O’Neill’s recovery, with the Celtic boss well enough to visit the team hotel before Sunday’s game against Kilmarnock. Speaking to Sky Sports, Maloney confirmed O’Neill had travelled to the team hotel and spoken to the players before the squad headed to Rugby Park. He said: “He’s doing better again, so he came to the team hotel, spoke to the players, but he just needs an extra few days. His visit to the team hotel, though, showed he remained involved with the squad even though he was not able to take his usual place in the dugout.
