Shaun Maloney has revealed the simple message Martin O’Neill gave Celtic’s players before their 5-1 win over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park. The Celtic manager was still involved in the build-up to the game, though, and spoke to the players before they travelled to Rugby Park. Speaking to BBC Sport Scotland after the match, Maloney revealed that O’Neill kept his message brief. “So his only message was: win the game.” His message could hardly have been more straightforward, and Celtic responded with their best attacking display of the new league campaign.
