Huzefa Rangwala and Jasem Pirani of MuseLAB worked with a clear brief: their clients, a couple with two sons, wanted a light, neutral palette that felt calm and cohesive without, however, feeling prosaic. “It was not easy to develop a palette that sits within a narrow tonal range and still feels layered. “We worked with a very light veneer — almost white — which complemented the tone-on-tone material palette of beiges and warm ivories. Every surface had to feel quiet and refined, without sudden contrast or disruption. The kitchen is swathed in white neutrals too, with the upper cabinets featuring playful curved interventions.
