Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum announced on Saturday a doubling of her administration’s target for upper secondary education spaces, raising the goal to 400,000 new slots nationwide, as she inaugurated an agricultural baccalaureate center (CBTA) in Texcoco. The inaugurated campus is part of the Comprehensive Eastern Zone Plan, which covers 11 municipalities in the State of Mexico and aims to establish at least one high school and one university in each of those municipalities.
