Delhi AIIMS recalled disposable syringe batches over quality complaints: Centre

Delhi: Certain batches of disposable syringes were recalled at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, in 2026 following quality-related complaints received from user departments, Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare, Prataprao Jadhav, informed the Rajya Sabha.
The Minister said the recall was carried out as a precautionary measure to ensure patient safety.
The affected syringe batches had been manufactured by Noble Pharmacare Ltd. and Veekay Surgicals.
The information was provided in a written reply to questions raised by MP Haris Beeran in the Parliament.
The MP sought to know whether the Government has taken note of reports regarding the recall of certain batches of disposable syringes at AIIMS, New Delhi, during 2026 and, if so, the details thereof including the manufacturers concerned and reasons for recall.
