Balrampur: A major step towards strengthening AYUSH healthcare infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh's Balrampur has been completed with the district administration transferring identified land in Achalpur to the AYUSH Department for the construction of a proposed 50-bed hospital. Regional Ayurvedic and Unani Officer Sanjay Kumar said a proposal seeking funds for the construction has been submitted to the state government, with work expected to commence once the budget is sanctioned. The proposed facility will be housed in a two-storey building and will include the 50-bed AYUSH hospital along with the office of the Regional Ayurvedic and Unani Officer. At present, the Ayurvedic hospital and the office of the Regional Ayurvedic and Unani Officer at the district headquarters are functioning from rented premises. The project has been proposed with the broader objective of strengthening Ayurvedic healthcare infrastructure in the district and providing a more suitable setting for AYUSH-related services.
