Nellore: Telugu Desam (TD) leaders of the erstwhile Nellore district on Sunday reviewed development works, welfare schemes and the party’s organisational strengthening at a meeting chaired by state endowments minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy. The meeting discussed irrigation and drinking water projects, pending development works, implementation of welfare schemes and strengthening the party organisation at the grassroots level. He also reviewed pending irrigation and drinking water works and criticised the previous YSRC government over its alleged failure to create employment opportunities and advance major projects in the district. Gopalapuram MLA and party zonal coordinator Venkataraju said the government was focusing on both development and welfare. Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, Sarvepalli MLA Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, Kavali MLA Dagumati Venkata Krishna Reddy, Kandukur MLA Inturi Nageswara Rao and Udayagiri MLA Kakarlа Suresh, besides other MLAs, MLCs and senior party leaders, attended the meeting.
